Everyday Heroes Redemption Season 2

E.G.O. Season 2 and the future of Redemption

Spoiler Alert! This post will talk about what has happened in Season 1 of E.G.O. and what has been happening since within the Redemption setting, and a preview of what will be coming to your game table over the course of the next year. The spoilers will be comparatively light, but they will happen. Consider yourself warned!

What Happened in Season 1?

The arc of Season 1 built from the first introductory Redemption missions toward the discovery of a major enemy organization set on world domination. Early on, this nefarious group is encountered collecting various artifacts and causing chaos, but we don’t find much about it until Redemption and Nacho Haus suffer a devastating coordinated attack.

When the dust had settled on Season 1, Nacho Haüs locations had been obliterated and Redemption had gone deep into the shadows after having been betrayed by one of their own Directors. At stake was a mysterious invention, known as the “Kaleidoscope,” which allows travel between dimensions. In enemy hands, the nature of reality itself could be at stake.

However, in the grand finale of Season 1, a multi-table adventure at Gen Con in which roughly 30 Redemption Agents (players) and Handlers (GMs) coordinated with allies from other dimensions and faced down and defeated the Big Bad and his organization. Nevertheless, Redemption’s global presence had been uprooted. Many of their highest level officers were dead. Their restaurant fronts were burned to the ground. The Redemption organization itself survived, but desperately needed to rebuild.

The Quiet Time Between Seasons

Possession of the Kaleidoscope fundamentally changed what kinds of adventures Redemption might undertake and what kinds of threats it might face. Neither Redemption nor its enemies were bound to our one dimension: they could shift to alternate realities. As Redemption rebuilt to face this new situation, it stuck to the shadows, exploring new realities, rebuilding, and staying relatively quiet.

From a mechanics standpoint, the Kaleidoscope allows the Redemption setting, its players and GMs to benefit from not only the previous Cinematic Sourcebooks, like Kong and Rambo, but also from the monthly Bonus Features and One-Shots that are being released on Sidekick. The adventures continued as new material was added to Everyday Heroes by the staff of Evil Genius Games as Season 2 planning was happening.

Incorporating this additional material seamlessly into Redemption play can take some work. However, newer adventures now have a call-out in the Introduction titled “What About My E.G.O.?” with suggestions for how to make those connections.

In other things that we are working on, we want each additional scenario to have a reward that benefits the characters. We are also rebuilding the Field Manual to go up on Sidekick where all of the other materials will be available. The gap between seasons is being used to smooth out some of these details and to make these additional games even better for our E.G.O. players.

What About Season 2?

Redemption has resurfaced for Season 2 and is ready for action! Their first goal is to bring back their beloved restaurant cover, Nacho Haüs. Most locations will be more standardized, but international locations will have more flair and personality than previously. New personalities, allies and enemies, will arise. New secrets behind major NPCs will emerge. Old faces will see more detail and have more exploration and background than before.

In Season 2, the escaped traitor behind the attacks on Redemption and Nacho Haüs from Season 1 will make a return, along with a new entourage of evil agents. But this time, the Kaleidoscope will be used to explore a series of alternate dimensions as Redemption Agents seek to track the traitor down before he can return.

To support this enhanced storyline, there will be more adventures and side adventures for players and GMs. To quantify what we are looking forward to, Season 1 consisted of 9 adventures plus a multitable special. Season 2 has 13 episodic adventures in 4 story mini-arcs, 5 side adventures, and a multitable special. And that’s not counting the E.G.O.-friendly monthly Bonus Features and adventures! Writing has already begun on the first several adventures of the season and some of the artwork is already completed as well.

Season 2 officially begins at Origins 2026, June 17–21, in Columbus, Ohio. Several tables of Season 1 scenarios will be offered with a return engagement of the Season 1 finale, making its second ever appearance on Friday, June 19, 2026. After, Season 2 officially launches with the first pair of Season 2 scenarios at the convention.

The Redemption Cinematic Sourcebook

Over time it became obvious that we needed a sourcebook dedicated to the Redemption campaign setting for our players. That sourcebook is currently in writing! It will cover Redemption’s origin and essential history up through Season 1, as well as information about some of the major NPCs of the organization, their allies, and past enemies.

Best of all, it will also include a lot of new material for Agents (players) and Handlers (GMs). There are new Backgrounds and Professions as well as new equipment and Feats, and a Class specific to the Redemption and Nacho Haüs storyline. Finally, there will be a section for GMs wishing to play Redemption scenarios either as part of the Organized Play Program or within their own world.
