Afterlife Heroes

Continuing with the precedent of consolidating, updating, and bringing older material into the Monthly Bonus Feature spotlight, April is focusing on the afterlife. The Afterlife Heroes sourcebook builds on work previously done in GORGON, but it will have a lot more newly developed assets than the previous compilations Everyday Bikers and Everyday First Encounters had; however, for those of you who already own GORGON on Sidekick, this will still be a free update.

What is GORGON?

If you don’t know already, GORGON is a supernatural agency focusing on regulating, capturing, and returning the souls of the deceased who interfere in the mortal world back to where they belong. On earth, the agency is staffed primarily by mortals who understand the needs to keep the life and the afterlife as separate realms. Various agency branches function throughout the world as gathering places for souls to be sent back to the Central Office from where they are returned to the appropriate domain. 

What is New in Afterlife Heroes?

Beyond this previous material, Afterlife Heroes includes a lot of new material for GMs and Players. Three new Origins are being added to allow more options for Players. There will also be a new Background and new Profession added to the three Backgrounds and four Professions already in GORGON. 

For GMs, Afterlife Heroes will add new opponents for the heroes to encounter. It will also include new plot ideas and hooks for running games using Afterlife Heroes for your Everyday Heroes campaign. Whether you want the game to focus on the afterlife or include elements into an existing setting, Afterlife Heroes will provide those options.

Upcoming Adventure: The Runaway Soul Train

In late April, the afterlife opens wide and the new adventure is coming out and sold separately, as is the norm for the Monthly Bonus Features. When a supernatural train crashes, souls break free and the heroes must gather and return them to where they belong before disaster strikes. Can your Afterlife Heroes save the world?

This adventure is for 1st level heroes, and will be perfect to use the new material including in Afterlife Heroes. It is coming soon to a Sidekick near you!
