This agreement is between you, as a volunteer for the Organized Play Foundation (OPF), and the Organized Play Foundation, and runs from the date you sign it until March 31st, 2026. You may also be required to sign additional agreements with OPF publishing partners, such as the "EGO Program Volunteer Agreement" for Evil Genius Games, depending on your chosen volunteer role.

The Organized Play Foundation has its own Code of Conduct that governs both staff and volunteers. By signing this agreement, you agree that you have read the Code of Conduct (above url) and agree to abide by its provisions.
In order for you to participate and fulfill your role in the program as a volunteer, the Organized Play Foundation may provide access to resources such as event scheduling tools, game materials, and communication platforms. These resources are intended solely for your use in fulfilling your volunteer duties and cannot be shared with others.
For more information on available resources, visit https://orgplayfoundation.org/resources
Access to these resources is subject to periodic review, and the Organized Play Foundation reserves the right to revoke access at any time for non-compliance, violations of the Code of Conduct, or for any other reason.
Volunteers can participate in various roles across OPF publishing partners' organized play programs. Below are example roles within the Evil Genius Organized-Play (E.G.O.) program, which you may choose if you volunteer with Evil Genius Games. Similar roles may exist with other OPF publishing partners. By choosing a role, you agree to fulfill the responsibilities and meet the expectations of that role to the best of your ability.
The roles of Handler (GM) and Operative (Local Organizer) focus on offering and running games either online or at in-person venues (stores, libraries, game clubs, etc.). These roles are specific to programs like E.G.O. but reflect the types of opportunities available through OPF.
As a Handler, your primary role and responsibility is to offer and run games yourself, either at an in-person venue (like a game store, library, club, or convention) or online. The expectation and goal is for Handlers, whether they set up their own games or take those set up by an Operative, to offer a minimum of one game per month and always have three games scheduled out on the Dispatch (orgplay.app). For example, if you offer one game per month, you should keep three months of games scheduled on Dispatch. It is Ascending is highly encouraged that your games are also listed on Warhorn.
We realize that the expectations of one game a month and three games scheduled on Dispatch may not always be possible, but we expect you to make a good-faith effort to achieve these goals. Please contact [email protected] and we will work with you!
As a Handler, you are also encouraged to run tables at local conventions, but you are not expected to organize and coordinate multiple tables. OPF publishing partners may offer additional support for GMs running games at conventions.
As an Operative, your primary role and responsibility is to schedule and assign games for other GMs in your local area at in-person venues (such as stores), local conventions, and/or online. You can certainly schedule and run your own games (and we want you to!), but if you don't have at least one other GM under you for whom you schedule games, you have the role of Handler until you do. The expectation is that, as an Operative, you will schedule a minimum of one game a month for each GM under you and keep three games for each GM under you scheduled out on Dispatch.
We realize that the expectations of one game a month and three games scheduled on Dispatch may not always be possible, but we expect you to make a good-faith effort to achieve these goals. Please contact [email protected] and we will work with you!
As an Operative, you are expected to organize, or help organize, multi-table events (3 or more tables) running games at local convention(s). Your Field Agent and/or Director can help you with this, and OPF publishing partners may offer additional support for convention organizers.
The roles of Field Agent (Area Organizer) and Director (Regional Organizer) are primarily administrative roles that are assigned to willing volunteers by the OPF management in consultation with existing OPF volunteer leadership as circumstances warrant. Neither of these roles keeps you from offering and running games (we hope you do!); it just means that your primary responsibilities as a volunteer are administrative. Let us know if you are interested in one of these roles.
As a Field Agent, your primary role and responsibility is organizing, supporting, and assisting Operatives and Handlers over an area like a state, part of a state, or a large metro area to meet their goals. The expectation is that Field Agents will also organize or work with their Directors to organize Farming Simulator events at area conventions. OPF publishing partners may offer additional support for convention organizers.
As a Director, your primary role and responsibility is organizing, supporting, and assisting Field Agents, Operatives, and Handlers in your region to meet their goals. Directors are also expected to organize (or help others as needed to organize) events at conventions in their region. Depending on circumstances, you may be assigned the role of Field Agent first until there are sufficient participants in the region to warrant Field Agents and a Director.
Where are you located, and what region do you envision covering? We will work with you to help define your region.
This agreement (the "Agreement") is between you (the volunteer) and Evil Genius Games (EGO). It starts when you sign it and ends on March 31, 2026.
As an EGO volunteer, you will undertake tasks expected of your role, such as:
Sometimes, EGO might invite you to do other activities that aren't part of your volunteer role ("Non-EGO Volunteer Opportunities"). You are free to say yes or no to any Non-EGO Volunteer Opportunities. EGO will try to make it clear which activities are EGO-related and which aren't.
Examples of Non-EGO Volunteer Opportunities that are not covered by this Agreement:
Focus on your main duties. Taking part in other activities is your choice and separate from your EGO volunteer role.
If we have a serious disagreement, here's how we'll try to solve it:
First, we'll try to work it out by talking to each other. We'll do this for up to 30 days after dialogue is initiated.
If we can't solve the problem by talking, we'll try mediation. Here's how it works:
If mediation doesn't work, we'll use arbitration as a last resort. This means:
Remember, you can always email [email protected] if you have any questions about this process.
